Bassist & band leader Doris Yeh voted ‘Goremate of the Year’ at the inaugural ‘Gorezone Awards’

DORIS YEH, spokesperson & bassist with Taiwan’s premier metal warriors Chthonic, recently walked away with the ‘Goremate Of The Year’ accolade at the Gorezone Awards in London.

Held at the Prince Charles Cinema in the West End, this is the first such ceremony put together by the monthly Horror/ Entertainment magazine, Gorezone.

Voted for by the readers of the publication, Doris was in town to collect her award in person, and ‘Goremate 2010’ can now be added to an ever-growing list of achievements that already includes a front cover feature/photo session in FHM, ‘Hottest Chick Of All Time’ status in US magazine Revolver, plus an appearance in the Taiwanese movie ‘Tears’ – nominated as ‘Best Film’ at festivals in Taipei, Canada & Germany.

CHTHONIC, who will be returning to the UK in November for a run of dates with Arch Enemy, have a new single on release via Spinefarm Records UK – a cover of the Judas Priest classic, ‘Painkiller’.

The full list of November shows is as follows:-

23rd Manchester, Academy 2
24th Glasgow, Garage
25th Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Hall
27th London, Kentish Town Forum
